Tournament Staff Cancels 45th Annual Sam McQuade Sr. Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament

For the first time in its 45 year history, the Sam McQuade Sr. Budweiser Charity Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament has been canceled.

Tournament staff considered many options before ultimately making the decision to cancel this year's event.

The event is considered one of the world's biggest non-profit slow-pitch softball events.

Founded in 1976 by Sam McQuade Sr. of McQuade Distributing. Sam was a father of a special needs child and knew first-hand the struggles and challenges local charities and organizations go through on a daily basis.

Over the years the event has grown to over 400 teams and raised over $140,000 at last year's event.
