Who are you playing with in 2020, and who have you played with in the past?
Free agent just looking for a great opportunity to play in 2020

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
2B, 5-man and anywhere in the outfield. Best position would be 2B or outfield

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Mike Nino, Andrew Renaud, Flip Washington and Kenny Chavez

Why do you like the game of softball?
It’s a fast pace sport similar to baseball with tons of competition among great ex-ball players!

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Kenny Chavez cause he is a humble and talented player! Great friend and role model for us beginners

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Hee-man or Hammah! Hee-man came because of my last name and the cartoon series He-man. Hammah came when I first appeared in a super draft in Vegas and me hitting just dingers the whole tournament!

What is your height and weight?
5’9 and 215 lbs.

Where do you call home?
Lihue, Hawaii

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Always working on my craft in hitting and working the glove

What do you do for a living?
Maintenance at puakea golf course

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Baseball and football in high school and in college

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Playing in NIT tournaments and super drafts

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Didn’t reach conference yet, but watched some of my friends that are in conference play. The level is more fast and tighter to hit in the holes

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Ron Fryer he kept telling me the I’m talented enough to play in conference if given an opportunity

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Keep working on your craft

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Standard grip

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Lifting 4 times a week and hit bp 3 times a week

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Los Angeles Dodgers

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Always pray to the lord and do my talking on the field

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Wait and see from Iration

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Have more Hawaii players get that exposure

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
NIT tournaments are the best

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Vegas BLD

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Wherever is open honestly

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Base runners getting sniper

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Hard worker and always looking to better myself. Also, a great person with an amazing attitude. Just fun to be around with!
