3rd, 1st, EH, C…

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Filip Washington… Guy works hard n competes non-stop!

Why do you like the game of softball?
I fell in love after meeting all the great people around the whole world just by playing a kid's game.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Too many to count, but start by looking at the talent pool in the Black Softball Circuit and you'll see.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Blue…Simple!!  The umpires love it!! Lol

What is your height and weight?
6'2/240

Where do you call home?
Tampa, FL but reside in Pensacola, FL

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Usually my off weekend is just relaxing or hitting the gym..

What do you do for a living?
Recently retired from the Air Force after 23 years

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played Football n baseball up to High School until I joined the Air Force at 17.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started by getting cut from base team back in 2010. After that I worked on my craft and made it up to A ball. 

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Umpires were better!

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Can't really compare my game to anyone, but I consider to be one of a kind, cuz if I'm not in the game I'm being best damn teammate I can be.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
I would say playing in the Busch in 2019 against Team Resmondo. Great Experience!

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
2 guys.. Only because they gave me the belief that I could play this game after getting cut. Travis Holcomb and Branden Brader! Thank You Guys!

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
STAY HUMBLE! Your time will come, but when it does, don't slack!

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Pinky under knob w/conventional grip. 28oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Gym and as much BP work I can get!

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida Gator Football… FOOTBALL without a doubt

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Crossing bats and never talk about me or anyone's batting average during a tournament 

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
In The Air Tonight (Phil Collins)

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I'm trying to get there, so a team picking up would be a great improvement!

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
TRIPP ROTH…Best time you can ever have and EVERYONE is there competing and having a great time!

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Space Coast Complex.. Fields are great and the turf is amazing. 

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
My spot is Crystal River Seafood in Tallahassee, FL

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
I would say anytime I see Brien Pruet make a mound visit is something to see…lol

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I love when pressure is put on me.  I just love that feeling.
