RE: RUSSIAN INVASION OF UKRAINE

First we send our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. ISPS condemns the military invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. We would like to remind that hostility and violence is never the answer and we must stand together with the people of Ukraine in the most difficult time.

ISPS asks you to join us in praying for a peaceful solution to the situation and commence verbal dialogue and put all weapons down.

In regards to future ISPS events, the Commissioner of ISPS, Mr. Manuel Teodorico Ferrero III has decided to take immediate action in line with other sports organizations until further notice:

ISPS will immediately cease any and all plans to bring ISPS events and expand the sport of slow-pitch into Russia.

No Russian Directors shall be allowed to affiliate.

No Russian Club Teams shall be allowed to affiliate.

ISPS will continue to monitor the situation and keep an open line of communication with other sports organizations to determine and plan the next course of action.

ISPS firmly believes that the entire sports community should stand together in support of Ukraine and its people.

We must always remember that sports is, and can always be, a vehicle for peace.

For the time being, ISPS will continue our connection with our Russian contacts to monitor the situation and plan accordingly.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this terrible and frightening situation.
