ISPS Honduras felicita al equipo Morazán, que recientemente se coronó campeón de la categoría femenina de la Liga Metropolitana de Slow Pitch en Tegucigalpa.

Morazán derrotó en la final a las Galácticas con marcadores de 8-7 y 14-5, un gran torneo para las muchachas, tomando en consideración, que fue su primera participación en un torneo oficial, es un equipo unido, en un ambiente familiar, ya que la mayoría son de la familia Álvarez del Barrio Morazán de Tegucigalpa, descendencia del patrón Marcial el popular Marshall Álvarez.

Morazán es una combinación de jugadoras que en su juventud jugaron béisbol como: Su Ellen Fu, Egla Sofía Lacayo, Lourdes Gabriela Murillo, Johana Soto, complementadas con muchachas que han jugado el softbol lanzamiento rápido como: Amparo Chávez, Claudia Álvarez, Dafne Álvarez, Gyna Rivas, Nicole Bustillo, Vanessa Jereda, Verónica Fonseca, Nancy Lagos y lo mejor de todo un grupo de jóvenes que son el futuro de este gran equipo como: Alexa Ávila, Génesis Pinel, Alessandra Vallecillo, Michelle Rivas, Abigail Ardon, Fernanda Menjivar, María José Ávila, Melany Vijil, Nicolle Amador, Ninoska Álvarez, Wendoly Álvarez y Carolina Fonseca.

El cuerpo técnico lo conforman: Rubén El Gato Pantoja como manager y los coachs, José Bernárdez y Sergio Ávila, tres personas que actualmente juegan béisbol, fastpitch y slow pitch, todos ellos han contribuido a ser de Morazán el mejor equipo de slow pitch femenino en Tegucigalpa.

Otro de los logros importantes de Morazán es haber quedado campeonas en octubre del año pasado, en un torneo internacional desarrollado en San Pedro Sula, con la presencia de Galácticas, Cachorras de Tegucigalpa y un equipo de Guatemala.
