The 2023 ISPS Winter World Championships recently concluded on February 10-12 in El Paso, Texas, featuring some of the best slow-pitch teams in the world.

In the Men's 50+ Division, we witnessed some intense and exciting games, which eventually crowned the Team Originals as the champions, with Team Tucson Elite as the runners-up, and Old Folks taking third place.

The tournament was a huge success, thanks to the efforts of Jaime Almendariz and his staff, who hosted the event with great professionalism and dedication. The tournament attracted slow-pitch enthusiasts from all around, and they were treated to a high level of play by the participating teams.

The standout player of the Men's 50+ Division was Jesus Gonzalez, who was named the tournament MVP for his outstanding contributions to Team Originals. Gonzalez showed his exceptional skills both offensively and defensively, helping his team secure the championship title.

In addition to Gonzalez's performance, several other players also caught the eye of the fans and the judges, as they were named All-Tournament Players. Franky Hernandez, Jaime Gunda, Danny Stevens, and Tony Ramos from Team Originals, Javier Taylor and Chuck O'Donnell from Team Tucson Elite, and Gene Quitugua from Old Folks all demonstrated their exceptional softball skills throughout the tournament.

Furthermore, Robert Medina from Team Tucson Elite and Mario Martinez from Old Folks were also recognized for their contributions to their respective teams as All-Tournament Players.

The Men's 50+ Division in the 2023 ISPS Winter World Championships was a great display of the spirit of softball, with each team putting their best foot forward and competing fiercely to achieve their goals. Ultimately, it was Team Originals who emerged victorious, thanks to their excellent teamwork, talent, and determination.
