Under the vibrant, star-lit sky, International Slow Pitch Softball (ISPS) made a triumphant return to its birthplace - Chapman Field. Directed masterfully by Elton "EJ" Mathis, the local ISPS USA Slow Pitch Area Director, the inaugural season thrived on the spirit of passion, camaraderie, and extraordinary competition that ISPS is renowned for.

From the flurry of well-aimed pitches and powerful hits, 'I’d Hit It!' emerged victorious. Their dynamic win against the 'Bandits' in a decisive 16-2 championship game marked a joyous conclusion to the season, setting a powerful precedent for the league's return to Chapman Field.

The season had its stars. Colby Gratton of 'I’d Hit It!' reigned as the Male MVP, demonstrating exceptional athleticism and leadership that left a profound mark on the field. His counterpart, Sylvia Dominguez of the 'Bandits', clinched the Female MVP award with her unwavering dedication and stellar performances, thrilling audiences week after week.

The successful inaugural season under Mathis's competent direction represents much more than a series of games. It symbolizes the return of ISPS to Chapman Field after its temporary closure due to arsenic poisoning. It signifies a renaissance of the passion for the game that was first sparked back in 2008 by Commissioner Manuel Teodorico Ferrero III in honor of his late brother PFC Marius Leonardo Ferrero. As the echoes of this victorious season fade, the floodlights at Chapman Field shine brighter, heralding a future teeming with thrilling seasons to come.
