Las Aces Crowned Champions of the Queen Slow Pitch League’s Intermedia Category!

In a dramatic conclusion to the Queen Slow Pitch League's second edition, Las Aces delivered a stunning performance to be crowned champions of the Intermedia category. With a combination of powerful hitting and a near-perfect defense, the Aces triumphed over their competition, securing both games in the championship to bring home the trophy.

The final day saw Las Aces dominate from the start, with explosive contributions from across the lineup. At the heart of the victory was Bianca Arias, whose bat was on fire throughout the season and into the playoffs. Known for her clutch performances and powerful hits, Arias was rightfully named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season. Her performance in the championship game, where she delivered several key hits, helped seal the title for the Aces.

But no championship can be won without stellar pitching, and that’s where Blanca López came in. López, who has now claimed her second consecutive pitching championship in the Queen Slow Pitch League, was a force to be reckoned with on the mound. Her precision and control kept opposing hitters at bay, allowing Las Aces to maintain their dominance throughout the games. Her consistent excellence in high-pressure moments earned her the title of Pitching Champion for another season.

The Aces were not only powered by Arias and López. Other key players like Nelly Serrato, Bree Ott, Manny, and Kiki López also contributed significantly with strong performances both at the plate and in the field. Together, this team showed what it means to play cohesive, winning softball.

ISPS USA, the organization behind the league, recognized the hard-fought effort of all teams involved, particularly Las Patronas, who finished as Subcampeonas. While they fell short in the final, their season was filled with heart, grit, and memorable moments that left their mark on the league.

The Queen Slow Pitch League, directed by ISPS Arizona State Director Gabriel Gonzalez, has become a staple for competitive slow-pitch softball in Arizona, with its continued growth and impressive level of play. Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III expressed pride in how the league has progressed: "The level of competition this season was outstanding. Seeing teams like Las Aces and Las Patronas leave everything on the field is what makes the Queen Slow Pitch League such a special part of ISPS. It’s incredible to watch the game grow and see these athletes achieve such high levels of success."

The conclusion of the season not only celebrates the Las Aces' victory but also looks ahead to the future. With players like Bianca Arias and Blanca López continuing to raise the bar, fans can expect even more excitement in the seasons to come.

Congratulations to Las Aces, the 2024 Queen Slow Pitch League Champions, and to all the players who made this season one to remember!
