Gear Up for the 2024 ISPS Winter World Championships in Ft. Lauderdale!

As winter draws near, slow-pitch softball players and fans are eagerly anticipating one of the year’s biggest events—the ISPS Winter World Championships! Set to take place on January 4, 2025, at the renowned Mills Pond Sports Complex in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, this championship promises a memorable experience filled with intense competition, camaraderie, and festive spirit. ISPS has pulled out all the stops to make this tournament one of the season's most thrilling events, with divisions for everyone from Men’s Upper to Senior 50+, and big prizes up for grabs.

The Event Details

The ISPS Winter World Championships cater to a variety of divisions:

  • Men's Upper: 6 HR & 1UP
  • Men's Lower: 2 HR & 1UP (no player ranked higher than D)
  • Men's Senior 40+ & 50+: 7 HR
  • Women's Open: Unlimited HRs

Each division has unique requirements, and teams can bring their best gear—UTRIP, ASA, or NSA bats are permitted. Competitors must use ISPS-stamped balls, ensuring high-quality gameplay. Additionally, players will enjoy live brackets and professional umpiring, creating a smooth, competitive environment throughout the day.

Prizes and Recognition

With an entry fee of $450, teams compete for impressive cash prizes based on a 24-team format in each division:

  • 1st Place: $2,400
  • 2nd Place: $1,200
  • 3rd Place: $600
  • 4th Place: $300
  • 5th Place: $150
  • 6th Place: $75

Alongside these prizes, each division champion will receive an exclusive Winter Worlds Champion ring—an iconic keepsake symbolizing victory and dedication. For players, this ring represents not just a win, but their dedication to the sport, earning it through strategy, skill, and teamwork.
