The International Slow Pitch Softball (ISPS) USA is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with the City of Miami and key local organizations, including AVG300, to bring a unique Men’s Slow Pitch Softball League to Moore Park. This league aims to replicate the remarkable success of the Women’s Slow Pitch League at Shenandoah Park, which has quickly become a cornerstone for Miami’s softball community, fostering athletic camaraderie and community spirit.
The Women’s League at Shenandoah Park was a pilot program launched by ISPS USA to gauge interest and engagement in slow-pitch softball in Miami. The league quickly exceeded expectations, drawing local talent from across Miami and creating a supportive environment for women athletes. Through organized play, the league fostered a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, becoming a community hub for sports enthusiasts.
“The Women’s League at Shenandoah has been a tremendous success,” said ISPS Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III. “It showed us that Miami has a strong appetite for recreational leagues that focus on skill-building, competition, and community. Now, we are ready to bring this model to the men of Miami, starting at Moore Park.”
This new league at Moore Park is set to feature a dynamic slow-pitch experience for male players. Designed to cater to both seasoned players and newcomers to the sport, the league offers a structured and engaging environment where athletes can hone their skills, make new connections, and enjoy the thrill of competitive softball.

The men’s league will not only provide a platform for competition but also bring together local athletes to celebrate Miami’s sports culture. Just as Shenandoah Park has fostered a strong community, Moore Park will serve as a central location where Miami’s male athletes can showcase their skills, engage with other softball enthusiasts, and build lasting friendships.
The introduction of this league marks an important milestone for ISPS’s expansion efforts, reinforcing its mission to promote and grow slow-pitch softball in cities across the United States. Miami’s parks and recreation department has shown unwavering support for this initiative, with city officials emphasizing the value of accessible sports leagues for community engagement.
