Championship night at Chapman Field was one for the ages! I’d Hit It! battled against F. B. G. M. in an intense showdown, culminating in a walk-off grand slam by Richie "Smokin’ Rich" Gonzalez! A huge shoutout to League Director Elton "EJ" Mathis for organizing a fantastic season!
The ISPS Friday Night Mixed League (Co-Ed) at Chapman Field came to a thrilling conclusion as I’d Hit It! secured the championship title with a dramatic walk-off grand slam by none other than Richie “Smokin’ Rich” Gonzalez!
Facing a resilient F. B. G. M., the championship matchup kept fans on the edge of their seats. Both teams showcased incredible talent, with defense and clutch hitting defining the night. However, when the game was on the line, I’d Hit It! delivered in electrifying fashion.
With the championship hanging in the balance, Richie Gonzalez stepped up and crushed a grand slam to deep left, sending his team into a frenzy and sealing the championship victory! The crowd erupted as I’d Hit It! celebrated their hard-earned title in style.
League Director Elton "EJ" Mathis expressed his excitement about the season and the competitive spirit that the league brought every week:
"This league continues to grow, and the energy from these teams is unmatched. Tonight was a perfect example of why slow pitch softball is so special. Hats off to both teams for putting on an incredible championship game, and congratulations to I’d Hit It!"
