ISPS Summer Smackdown Set to Ignite Brian Piccolo Park on June 7th

The stage is set and the stakes are sizzling. On June 7th, ISPS (International Slow Pitch Softball) presents the Summer Smackdown at Brian Piccolo Sports Park, and it promises to be one of the most explosive slow-pitch events of the season.

With a $400 team entry fee, this tournament delivers high-value returns. The 1st place team walks away with $125 per team entered, adding a dynamic pot that grows with participation. And for those finishing just short of the top, 2nd place nets a full set of 12 custom team jerseys, courtesy of MS Apparel—showcasing not just competition, but community and style.

“We designed the Summer Smackdown to reward teams for their hustle while creating an electrifying environment where slow-pitch athletes can shine,” said ISPS Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III. “It’s all about giving teams more chances to compete, grow, and enjoy the game.”

To keep the playing field fair and intense, the event features two divisions:

• Lower Division: No Band, 1 HR per inning.

• Higher Division: 1 Band, 4 HRs per inning.

The tournament director will determine placement based on team rosters, ensuring a competitive balance that prioritizes both talent and sportsmanship.
