Swinging into Paradise: 2025 Boricua Open Set to Light Up Puerto Rico

As the Caribbean breeze sweeps through the vibrant town of Levittown, Puerto Rico, a storm of softball excitement is brewing. From October 17–19, 2025, the island will play host to the ISPS Boricua Open Championships, a premier slow-pitch tournament where tropical vibes meet fierce competition.

With teams expected from across the Americas, the Boricua Open is more than just a tournament—it's a celebration of culture, community, and the growing global spirit of slow-pitch softball. Hosted by ISPS (International Slow Pitch Softball), this event will mark yet another milestone in the organization’s relentless drive to bring competitive and recreational opportunities to athletes worldwide.

“There’s nothing like the Boricua Open. It’s energy, culture, and softball fused into one unforgettable weekend,” said ISPS Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III. “We’re proud to return to Puerto Rico, where passion for the game runs as deep as the Caribbean waters.”

Last year’s championship saw clutch performances, walk-off winners, and players from as far as Guatemala and Florida lighting up the field. This year promises even more action, with men’s, women’s, and coed divisions battling under the Caribbean sun. The fields in Levittown are set, and excitement is already overflowing.

What makes the Boricua Open stand apart? It’s not just the palm trees swaying near the outfield. It’s the sound of bats cracking through the humid air, the spirit of friendly rivalry, and the bonds forged in the dugouts. ISPS doesn’t just organize tournaments—they build platforms for growth, giving every player, from weekend warriors to seasoned pros, a chance to shine.

“ISPS is about opportunity, unity, and global passion,” Ferrero added. “Puerto Rico is the perfect setting for that.”

The 2025 edition will also feature cultural festivities, music, and food trucks serving local delicacies, making it as much a festival as a sporting event. Whether you're a player, fan, or curious traveler, you won’t want to miss the fireworks both on and off the diamond.

Registration is now open at playISPS.com/BORICUA2025.
