Background checks now being conducted to all New Umpires and Directors.

Starting in early 2018, ISPS will be running background checks on all New Umpires and Directors.

"At ISPS we are all about safety.  Keeping our players, fans, coaches, friends, and families is our number one priority.  This includes knowing "who" works for us and "who" is representing ISPS" said Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III.

ISPS will be running background checks when Directors and Umpires sanction themselves on the New ISPS Website.

Commissioner Ferrero stated; "We know that Background checks are only as good up to the moment they are conducted.  Anyone can wake up tomorrow and do something dumb.  We understand that.  But this is a good place to start."

The background checks will screen criminal, sex offender, and social history.

"Our players are the most important asset in our community.  We need to protect them.  Keep them out of harm's way.  Especially the female players.  With all the crazy things happening in this world, we must protect our athletes."  Commissioner Manuel T. Ferrero III added.
