AFFILIATION PROCESS

AFFILIATION PROTOCOL

Step 1: Expression of Interest

Interested parties should submit an expression of interest (EOI) letter to International Slow Pitch Softball via email or the organization's website. The EOI should include the following information:

  • Name and contact details of the interested party
  • Type of affiliation (league, tournament, championship, association, federation, director, team, or athlete)
  • A brief overview of the organization or individual, including history, size, and location

Step 2: Information and Application Package

Upon receiving the EOI letter, International Slow Pitch Softball will provide the interested party with an information and application package containing:

  • Detailed information about the benefits and responsibilities of affiliation
  • Affiliation application form
  • Affiliation fee structure
  • Code of conduct and ethics
  • Rules and regulations
  • Insurance and liability information


Step 3: Submission of Application

Interested parties should complete the affiliation application form, providing all required information and documentation, such as:

  • Official organization or team name
  • Contact details (address, phone, email, website)
  • Organization or team structure (including management, coaching, and support staff)
  • List of athletes and their details (if applicable)
  • Proof of insurance coverage (if required)
  • Signed agreement to adhere to International Slow Pitch Softball's code of conduct, rules, and regulations


Step 4: Application Review

International Slow Pitch Softball will review the submitted application, assessing the applicant's eligibility for affiliation based on criteria such as:

  • Compliance with International Slow Pitch Softball's rules and regulations
  • Quality of the organization or team, including management, coaching, and athlete development
  • Financial stability and ability to pay affiliation fees
  • Reputation and standing within the slow-pitch community


Step 5: Decision and Notification

Upon completion of the review process, International Slow Pitch Softball will notify the applicant of the decision regarding their affiliation request. If approved, the applicant will receive an official affiliation certificate and a welcome package with further information about their rights and responsibilities as an affiliate. If denied, the applicant will receive a letter explaining the reasons for the decision and any steps that can be taken to reapply in the future.

Step 6: Payment of Affiliation Fees

Approved affiliates will be required to pay their affiliation fees according to the fee structure provided in the information package. Payment plans may be available upon request and approval.

Step 7: Ongoing Communication and Support

Once affiliated, organizations and individuals will receive ongoing communication and support from International Slow Pitch Softball, including updates on rules and regulations, opportunities for participation in events and programs, and access to resources and educational materials.
